Happy Chinese New Year

How's your holidays? I was sick for four days! I got fever and heavy flu...that's mean no holidays for me. I just stayed at home. Felt guilty towards my kids as me and hubby promised to bring them to KK. Anyway, hubby got 1 week holidays but our kids only given 3 days of school holidays.

Oh well, we have to cancel our trip back to my hometown and even to KK. Sorry kids, hopefully on March ya. Got another 9 days of school holidays!

Anyway, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all my Chinese friends and readers a very happy Chinese New Year. Don't eat too much of Mandarin oranges ya! You may get cough easily :P


The Year Of The Dragon, 2012

According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of 2012 is the Year of the Dragon, which begins on January 23, 2012 and ends on February 9, 2013. The Dragon is the fifth sign of the Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 Animal signs. The Dragon is a creature of myth and legend. In ancient China, the celestial Dragon represents an emperor and power. Today, it is the ultimate auspicious symbol signifying success and happiness. May the celestial Dragon bring great good luck to everyone.

In Sung Dynasty (a Chinese imperial dynasty lasting from AD 960 - 1279) texts, the dragon is described as having the head of an ox, muzzle of a donkey, eyes of a shrimp, horns of a deer, body of a serpent covered with fish scales, and feet of a phoenix. The dragon usually clutches a pearl symbolic of its super-natural powers. Invariably accompanied by thunder and rain, dragons move like lightning and whirlwinds - - all powerful yet totally unpredictable.

The Sign of the Dragon

People born in the Year of the Dragon share certain characteristics: Innovative, enterprising, self-assured, brave, passionate, conceited, and quick-tempered. The Dragons are the free spirits of the Chinese Zodiac. Restrictions blow out their creative spark that is ready to flame into life. So, they must be free and uninhibited. The Dragon is a beautiful creature, colorful and flamboyant. An extroverted bundle of energy, gifted and irrepressible, everything Dragons do is on a grand scale - big ideas and extreme ambitions. Dragon people are quite imaginative, always able to see new paths and will take a radical approach. They have innate explorative spirit and try to succeed at one stroke. They are very adaptable and are fit for various occupations, especially if those occupations allow them to take the limelight. They work hard, but would rather give orders than receive them. Breaking Dawn (Part 1)



OMG! I'm speechless when I saw the movie for the first time. Twilight Saga will always have a special place in my heart. Hey, am I huge fan of Titanic and Harry Porter series too ok, but Twilight is on my top list ;)

My favorite scene is of course the wedding scene. Bella looks so beautiful in that wedding gown. I really hope Kristen and Robert will get married one day. Not just in the movie, but they look perfect together as a couple. How I wish I was there too!



The honeymoon scene was awesome too. Bella looks very sexy and Edward have to pretend he's not interested! Oh well...poor Edward :P

Anyway, I got all the novels and dvd already, but need to add more of my Twilight Saga collections, such as shirts, mug, etc. If I'm not mistaken, there's a Twilight store in Singapore. Wish I can go there one day and buy all the merchandises. Know what? I used to be a huge fan of NKOTB and I got lots of their merchandises, but I kept it at my hometown. Hey, that was more than 10 years ago! Now I'm starting it again, just because of Twilight Saga :)



Another few months to go before the premier of Breaking Dawn Part 2! I just can't wait!

Here & There

Hi readers! I just want to share some of the photos that I took last year, but forgot to post in my blog due to my laziness...ha...ha...The first part is all about foods :)

As you know, I am food lover. I did try the latest pizza, Ultimate Cheesy Bite and I like it. I can't finish it by myself, so I took away and kept in the fridge. The next day I ate it again just like that and the taste is still yummy!


Nasi Ayam (Chicken Rice) is one of my favorite food. My mom brought me and my sister for lunch somewhere in November, 2011 at her favorite cafe in town. I loveeeee it except the one in the middle. Its good but too spicy for me :D


Anyway, I went for breakfast with hubby and kids at Daily Restaurant and I tried the new menu, Mee Sua Lihing (Seafood). OMG! I like it too and it reminds me of my late grandma. She used to cook it for my mom before when I was still a kid!


Oh well, talking about the king of fruit...DURIAN! Actually, I'm not really into durian. I do eat durian but seems my hubby and kids really hate the smell of durian (LOL), therefore I seldom buy and eat it at home. By the way, thanks to my mom. She bought it for me.


The funny thing about durian is, after eating, no matter how many times you brush your teeth, people can still smell the durian. Even when you fart! Ha...ha...same goes to 'Petai', but I never taste petai. I don't think I can eat it, but petai is good for health!

Okay, here are some of my favorite items. I bought a new sandal for only RM32.90. Quite cheap but very comfortable. I also bought Angry Birds t-shirts for only RM10.90 each but I just wore it twice because I prefer wearing a v-neck instead of round neck shirts.

New Year Eve & New Year Day Gathering

We went to the church on the 31st Dec, 2011 for New Year Eve mass. After that, we went straight away to my parents' house for family gathering. We supposed to do a BBQ but seems the person in charge will arrive late, we decided to cook all the menus.

After dinner, we have some photo session. Unfortunately, my eldest sister and my 4th sister aren't in the photo with us. Below is the photo of my big family (My brothers, my parents, me & my beautiful sisters).

After that, it's karaoke time. We sang until late midnight and at the same time, waiting for the new year's countdown.

What a surprised! My eldest sister and hubby arrived 30 minutes before new year. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...Happy New Year 2012! I heard non-stop fire crackers in the air...fuyoooooo!


I'm so lazy to take my bath (I used to when I was a teenager), so I just washed my face, kissed & hugged everyone around me. Definitely I'm hoping for more good news this year, but the most important thing is....to get a driving license! Oh well :P

We went back home around 1.30 am. I'm very tired and ZZZzzz...

The next day, I'm just relaxing at home with hubby and kids. Later that night (1st Jan, 2012), we went to my parents' house again for another gathering and BBQ!

I ate too much during Christmas and New Year...even though I didn't put on weight, but I feels fat until today! Oh well, how can I say no to BBQ? Prawns? Take a look on the photo below :P

Another karaoke session after dinner, but seems we are in housing area, not 'kampung (village) area', mom reminded us to stop singing by 11.00 pm :(

We continued with the story telling session. Talked about our childhood, our embarrassment moments...he...he...wedding moments and in the end, brain washed la...cuci telinga by our parents! LOL!

I really missed those moments as we really enjoyed our gathering + a karaoke session. Now, I'm counting the days to Chinese New Year holidays. We are planning for another family gathering, but I really hope my dad can join us again this time. Otherwise, I'm thinking about going back to my hometown and give him surprise :)

Better late than never! Happy New Year to all my followers and readers. How's your new year eve and new year day celebrations? I really had a good gathering with all my family members. I'll update about it later ya!
