Trip to Lahad Datu

I went to Lahad Datu (LDU) with my family on the last 26th-28th March, 2010. Eventhough it's only for 3D/2N stay, but I'm very happy to go back to my hometown.

On the first day, we departed from Keningau at 0800hrs. We are using the short cut road through Tambunan-Ranau, but it still a long journey to LDU. We only arrived there by 1700hrs. I really miss our house there, especially my dad! He's so skinny! I guess that I'm heavier than him..ha..ha..(I love you dad!)

Suddenly my old neighbours came and guess what? They said that I'm getting chubby! Gosh, hu..hu..what can I say? They didn't see me for more than 10 years!! Oh well, my weight is 58kg now, so another 8 kgs to be reduced...LOL

Later that night, we went to one of my favourite restaurant in LDU, Dovist. Well, I love Chinese foods. I'm eager to eat the Siput Tarik with Sambal Belacan! It's so yummy!

My kids' fav, Sweet & Sour Prawn

After our dinner, we went to Bandar Sri Perdana, just about 5 minutes drive from our house in Kg Muhibbah. I was so proud of LDU! Lots of good changes, but...I hate the traffic jam! He..he..I can't stand it!

On the second day, I went to Fajar Centre to meet my ex colleagues at Borneo Nature Tours office. I really miss them! We planned to go out together that night. Then, I went to my another favourite Chinese Restaurant in town area. I used to call it 'Kedai RM5' because all the menu will be charged RM5 per bowl/plate. You should try their Iced Milk Tea too. Gosh, so yummy!

It was heavy rain that afternoon till 1800hrs, so we just stay at home. I'm looking for my old pictures. Wish to share it with all my Facebook's friends soon. Right now, I'm so lazy to scan all the photos..hmmm..

About 1930hrs, my friend, Anita came to fetch me to a new restaurant in Bandar Sri Perdana. It was another branch of Dovist restaurant but this one is more to western foods. I did enjoy myself that night, having a long chat with all my ex colleagues till almost midnight! Here are some of the photos. By the way, once again, all the foods are yummy!!

Lamb Steak in Black Pepper Sauce (Mine)

On our last day in LDU...sob...sob...I was so sad to say goodbye to my dad. Wish he will go back to Keningau as soon as possible. I was worried for him to stay alone there but he'll be back as soon as his 'kebun' is okay. Well, it's very hard to find an honest worker to look after his kebun.

Sayonara LDU...gonna miss you!

Happy April Fool's Day!

Ha..ha..Have you been fooled by someone? I'm not really in the mood of if as this week is a Holy Week and today is also a Holy Thursday for all Christian (RC). So, I just wish my friends and remind them about it.

AF8 : Getting better or worst?

I'm still tired, just came back from Papar (My hubby's hometown). I really enjoyed myself yesterday. Firstly, because of a good news that we've been waiting for. Unfortunately, my hubby remind me not to share about it in my blog (Let it be our secret...he...he...). Secondly, because finally, we went to Suria Sabah. We didn't make it last time because our youngest son is sick. Well, nothing much to see as the mall is still consider new. Not many shops are open yet!
Anyway, what do you think about the Akademi Fantasia Season 8 (AF8)? Honestly, to me, it's quite boring than previous years or maybe it's still too early to make a conclusion? I don't know, but as a fanatic fan of AF, I'm hoping for something new, something which is more happening than before. I do like some of the finalists, such as Ain, Iwan, Alif (based on their vocals & performances during concert). Unfortunately, if based on their appearence or behaviours during Diari AF8, it made me sick!!! However, no matter what, I can't help myself to watch it as I'm always be a reporter to my family and friends...ha...ha...
One more thing, I realised their concept this year is quite similar with American Idol...oh well, correct me if I'm wrong! I'm a fanatic fan of American Idol too and my favourite finalists this year are Casey James and Aaron Kelly! Opps, back to my topic. I thought that Aznil will be the host again but Sarimah Ibrahim is not bad. However, I guess this is Jimmy's first experience to host a reality program. Therefore, he has to learn more!
By the way, I'm happy to see Adlin as one of the jury. He's like Simon Cowell, very honest in giving comments eventhough it might hurts their feelings. To be a star, they have to learn, to accept the criticsm. Oh well, hoping for the best performance in next week concert! Good luck guys!

I'm Back!

Finally, I'm back. In front of my laptop, with no idea what to type. I'm not feeling well since last Dec 2009. On off sickness...hmmm...because of the damn hot weather. I had a terrible fever, flu, sore throat and cough! I hate cough because I can't sleep very well especially at night.

I had recovered from those sickness last 2 weeks and now I had it again! Gosh...luckily it's school holidays. I can have a good rest at home as my hubby is around to take care of our kids and do the cooking! Thanks hubby, I really appreciate your help...muahh!

Well, nothing much happen to me last few months. Most of the time I'm busy with my kids and I'm quite lazy to do the house chores...ha...ha...By the way, after 12 yrs, I'm starting to write in a diary again! Actually, my mom gave me the book because I like the cover but I made it as my personal diary now.

My 2010 diary

Last 24th Feb, 2010 is my eldest son, Randall Vince's 6th birthday. We made a simple celebration for him at my parents' house. Randall also got belated birthday cake from his aunty, who came all the way from KL. Thanks for the cake! It's really yummy!

What A Buzy Week!!!

Randy with his sad looks on his 1st day @ school

Randall's looks after crying a lot!

Hi friends, how's your first week of January? Mine is quite busy as both my kids are start schooling this year. They went to St Francis Xavier Kindergarten here in Keningau, Sabah. My eldest son is in the second year and my youngest in his first year.

They only started their studies on the 6th of January and their first day at school was so terrible! Gosh, I can't stand it at first because I have to handle it all by myself! My mom was there to accompany me but only for an hour as she have to go back and my hubby need to work. It's normal for them to cry on their first day but I became so buzy when both of them vomit at the same time! I'm sure you can imagine that!

They are much better on the second day, especially my eldest son. He only cried for a few minutes then he stopped and focused on his studies. My youngest son? Hmmm...still crying, crying and crying! Luckily on his third day at school, he's much, much better. Yup, I miss those sadness moments on their first day! I mean, now I can really feel how hard it is to be a good mother. Sometimes, it made me so tired as I have to wake up very early (5.30am) just to prepare their breakfast, their hot waters, their uniforms, bla...bla...bla...

Well, luckily tommorrow is Saturday and then Sunday, so there'll be two days off for me..ha..ha..I just hope that there'll be no more tears on next Monday!

Happy New Year 2010!

Finally, it's new year. Another chapter in a new book of 2010. How's your new year's eve last night? I'm helping my mom with the cooking for new year's eve dinner. I've tried a new recipe, Prawn Curry (which I've never tried before). It's yummy but I still prefer Butter Prawn or Sweet and Sour Prawn. Actually, I'm not really into spicy foods.

Udang Masak Kari (Prawn Curry)

The other menus are Ayam Masak Kicap, Ikan Stim Tom Yam, Sup Daging + Kundur and not forgetting my mom's hot and spicy Sambal Belacan! Berasap telinga..ha..ha..and for dessert, my younger sister is preparing Fruit Salad.

Fruit Salad

I'm sure you are having fun too last night. No matter where or how are you celebrating it, I wish you all a blessed New Year 2010!

Another 19 Days Before Christmas!

Ho...Ho...Ho...I can't wait for the Christmas Day! As I mentioned in my post before, I love winter and Christmas is my favorite day of the year! Unfortunately, here in Malaysia, the public holiday for Christmas is only for a day! Even though Malaysia is a Muslim country, but I don't think there's a harm for us to be given 2 days public holidays instead of a day. Well, just to be equal with the Hari Raya and Chinese New Year celebrations, huh?

Anyway, I used to celebrate Christmas until New Year eve..ha..ha..Even my hubby and kids already decorated our Christmas tree a month before Christmas. I'm quite lazy this year, so it's their turn to decorate it!

I really enjoyed our Christmas last year! Two days before Christmas eve, we are in KK, spending our holidays there and doing the last minute Christmas shopping! Lots of sales during that time! On Christmas day, we went to Papar, meeting all my in laws there and later that evening, going back to Keningau, celebrating it with my family side.

We haven't decide yet where to celebrate Christmas this year but no matter where, I just want to be with my hubby and kids. That is more important huh? Of course with my other family members too, but seems I'm married, I focused more on my own family.

Know what? Since I was a kid, I keep on dreaming that one day, I'll be able to experience the Christmas day in winter season. Well, my favorite places to visit is Australia, Rome and Japan! Perhaps, one day huh?
