AF7 7th Concert : I'm speechless!

Yeah, I'm speechless because I didn't expect Aril to be eliminated in last night concert. He did a very good performance last night and even got compliments from all the pengkritik. Honestly, I don't have any favourite student this year but I'm writing my blog based on my opinion and observation. Aril, Hafiz and Yazid deserved to be in the final concert but I understand...AF is a reality programme, all their lucks are based on SMS!

Awok..awok..many fans blamed Marsha as a reason for Aril to be voted out. Well, I don't know what to comment. Maybe it's one of the reason because in Malaysia, most of us prefer a good looking artist compare to their talents! It's true, isn't it? Aril got a full package and I'm very sure most of his voters are female! I saw in channel 109 (Chat @ 15) that most of Aril's voters really don't understand why Marsha need to be in the AF7 for 5 days? As shown on the tv, Marsha seems to teased Aril most of the time. That made Aril's voters jealous with Marsha I think. However, I don't bother about that at all! Marsha just doing her job. As we know, AF selalu ada bermacam-macam strategi and kezutannn...

Another 2 concerts before the final concert. If there's no elimination in the 8th concert, 5 students will be in the final. By the way, below are the votes percentage before and after the concert. Seems Aril have been voted out, I really hope Hafiz could win this competition..hope there'll be a miracle!

KFC in Keningau, Sabah after renovation

Yesterday, we (my mom, my kids and I) went to the new KFC in Keningau after the renovation. OMG! I can't believe my eyes. The new KFC is so cool. Even more spacious than before. Unfortunately, the playing area for kids aren't open yet and I'm a bit disappointed because the place for kids to play is too small!

Well, I am food lover and KFC is my favourite place to go. As I wrote in my blog before, when I eat, I'll eat slowly because I want to enjoy the foods. I can't imagine if there are lot of kids in one time at the playing area! Ha..ha..budak-budak, mana mau mengalah sesama mereka...Anyway, I managed to snap some pictures of the new KFC.

Happy Earth Day 2009

The Earth Day celebration is virtually the holiday of environmentalism. April 22 continues to be the most popular date for the celebration day in the U.S. However, Earth Day is celebrated in many countries. Therefore, Malaysians should celebrate it too.

According to the facts that I found in the internet, in the 1840s, the midwestern state of Nebraska was a territory within a wide prairie. When pioneers moved out to settle there, they found few trees to build houses or to burn for fuel. There was no shade from the sun or wind, and crops did not grow well in the dry earth.

J Sterling Morton was one of those pioneers who moved to the treeless Nebraska territory. He and his wife planted trees immediately after moving from their home town of Detroit, Michigan. Morton was a journalist, and later the editor, for Nebraska's first newspaper. In his writings he advocated planting trees to help life on this vast barren plain.

He became the secretary of the Nebraska Territory. At a meeting of the State Board of Agriculture in January 1872, Morton proposed that citizens of the new state of Nebraska set aside April 10 as a day to plant trees. He suggested offering prizes as incentives for communities and organisation that planted the most trees properly. Everyone welcomed the idea enthusiastically. Nebraskans planted about one million trees on that first Arbor Day. Today a visitor to Nebraska would never guess that it was once a dusty prairie.

In 1882, Nebraska declared its own Arbor Day as a legal holiday and the date was changed to Morton's birthday, April 22. Today almost every state celebrates an Arbor day but because the best tree-planting season changes from region to region, some states observe the day on different dates. Hawaiians, for example, plant Arbor Day trees on the first Friday in November!

On April 22, 1970, Arbor Day activities were modified to emphasize the critical importance of the environment and to make the American public aware of the destruction of the earth's natural preserves. This day, Earth Day, was observed by twenty million Americans, most of them students. The sponsors of Earth Day hoped to start an environmental movement that would alter industrial practices and human consumption.

Twenty years later in 1990, Earth Day was observed once again. On the Mall, in the center of Washington, D.C., people gathered for Earthfest. At this second observance of Earth Day, participants and planners were not only college students but ordinary Americans of all ages and from all walks of life. Musicians performed songs about nature. Celebrities spoke about what Americans can do to recycle. Federal agencies offered expositions showing their efforts in stopping wasteful practices polluting the environment. Conservation groups taught the crowds about rain forests, and how their destruction could mean the destruction of large parts of the world. Although Earth Day is not a yearly federal holiday it has helped Americans realize that they can and should do something to protect the environment.

AF7 6th Concert : Not bad!

Hmm..I wanted to update my blog soon after finish watching the concert last night but I'm so sleepy. Anyway, last night concert is quite ok to me. However, once again, I think the opening song is quite boring, same melody..1 song is just nice I guess.

In my opinion, the best peformance tonight is Aril..go go wok..and Qhaud. Unfortunately, Qhaud have been eliminated due to his lowest votes. I really enjoyed Aril's performance last night. He improved a lot especially in his vocal. Whether he win or not, he'll be famous because of his good package.

I agreed with Edrie about Isma's performance. She's trying too hard so it don't look natural anymore. Poor Hafiz, what a teribble performance. Same goes to Yazid and Akim but I still believe Hafiz can go far in this industry. Hmm..I'm talking about their vocals ok!

Claudia..Claudia..I prefer her hair style before..but Aishah, OMG! She looks more pretty with her new hair style but once again, I agreed with Adlin's comment about her outfits. Not suitable, huh! I understand that Tiara tried to create Imej Sopan in this AF7 but some of the outfits looks terrible to me.

However, I love the new Menuju Puncak performance. Well, another 3 concerts to go before the final concert. If they want Top 5 to be in the final concert, that's mean there'll be another 2 elimination and one of the week, no elimination! Otherwise, only 4 students will be in the final!

Happy Saturday!

Saturday Myspace Comments

It's Saturday, my favourite day! I love Saturday because lots of things to be done on Saturday. Even lots of interesting tv programme on Saturday, especially Akademi Fantasia..ohh..I can't wait for the concert tonight! Sure it'll be interesting and know what? I'm starting to like the new transformation! Well, I guess Qhaud will be eliminated tonight!

So, any special plan for today? I'm planning to go to my parents' house this afternoon, having lunch there together with them. I used to go there during night time but seems I want to watch the AF's concert tonight (I don't want to be disturbed..he..he..), I prefer to watch it at my own house. Otherwise, I can't concentrate it..ha..ha..(Will update my blog soon after finish watching the concert).

By the way, Saturday is a suitable day for a shopping. I used to go shopping with my colleagues before when I'm still working in tourism industry. Seems I'm a fulltime housewife now, I prefer to do it with my mom because we share the same interest while shopping. Luckily, I'm not a shopaholic! So, most of the things that I buy is for my kids. The most important thing for me after shopping is...eating time..ha..ha..must be tired after shopping! For sure, I'll have the Teh Tarik Peng and Fried Kuey Tiow with seafoods..hmmm..

Well, the rest of the day, I'm just staying at home with my family. Watching tv or surfing the internet at the same time (I can't live without internet!). No matter what are you planning to do, hope you'll enjoy it!

Shiro, the cute puppy!

My sister, Cherylyn sent me an mms yesterday. I was so suprised to see some pictures of a cute puppy! The puppy came to my parents house about two days ago and it seems that it don't want to return to it's owner. So, my sister decided to adopt the puppy and named it Shiro.

The funny thing about Shiro is, Shiro really enjoyed it's bathing time and very lazy because Shiro will go to sleep soon after bathing. However, Shiro is as cute as the cartoon character itself and my sister even sleep with Shiro.

Well, I really hope that Shiro will always be with us eventhough we realised that maybe one day, Shiro's owner will come and looking for Shiro. Hmmm..we don't want to think about it at this moment...

AF7 5th Concert : I lurveeee it!

Picture Comments Myspace Comments

Yeah, at last..I lurveee this week concert eventhough the opening performance is quite boring! Maybe because some of them aren't good in English, so they don't have confident to sing it out loud!
Anyway, in my opinion, the best duet performance tonight is Hafiz and Mila, followed by Yazid and Yazer, Claudia and Vince. Isma's performance is not bad but maybe she's so suprised to see her hubby, so quite distracted in her performance (Biasalah kalo dah lama tak jumpa..rindu giler..11th anniversary lagi)
By the way, I agree with Adibah's comment..she's so selamba but she's very professional, right? I really hope the AF team will invite Paul Moss to be one of the jury, perharps in final concert!
One more thing that I like about this week concert is the appearance of AF's ex-students especially Farah. She looks more skinny but pretty than before! Vince as usual, still got his power voice. Same goes to Mila!
Sadly to say, Sidi have been eliminated this week because he improved a lot especially in his vocal but not in tonight's performance..yeah, Zahid yang menonjol pula! Hmmm...can't wait for next week concert. Hope there'll be more exciting transformation apart from the stage setting!

Holy Week for Christian

Hi friends, this week is a Holy Week for all the Christian (RC). There's a Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil and finally, Easter Day! I really miss all those moments when I'm still active in church activities.

As a choir member, the Holy Week will be the busiest week for us because we are involved in the choir for the whole week. I still remember one incident. After my SPM in 1994, I don't want to find a job just because I want to concentrate on church activities. Of course my parents especially my mom is so angry with me. Actually I still can join the church activities even if I'm working but I can't go anywhere, anytime if I have to work! So, that's how the story goes..ha..ha..

After 2 years, I finally further my studies in a college. Luckily, there's a Christian Fellowship in the college. So, I took the chance to join the church activities again. I never regret for doing that because I met lots of new friends from different places especially during the World Youth Festival. I even met my beloved hubby in church! Luckily both of us are involved in music.

Well, eventhough I'm not active in church activities anymore after I got married, but I still go to the church. I don't have a maid, so I have to do all the house chores and take care of our kids. At least, my hubby is still playing the guitar at the church for sunset mass.

Hmm..can't wait for the Easter Day to come because HE IS RISEN on that day. As usual, there will be a family gathering on that night and of course, BBQ! Wishing you all Happy Easter!

SPECIAL DELIVERY FROM MY MOM'S HOUSE

Butter prawn

Ketam Masak Merah

Hmmm..yummy isn't it? Actually, my dad just arrived from Lahad Datu yesterday, together with my brother, sister and lil' nephew. They brought lots of seafoods from there (the price is quite cheaper but very fresh!).
Actually, we supposed to go to my parents' house tonight but seems it's heavily raining, I told my mom to cancel our visit. However, seems they already cook all the yummy foods, my mom don't mind to send it to my house (Thanks mom, luv u..muahhh).
He..he..she loves me eventhough I'm big enough..ha..ha..As people always say, 'masakan dari tangan seorang ibu memang sedap' , right? Well, I better have my dinner right now..'sedap kalo makan panas-panas!'

AF7 ~ 4th Concert, lots of suprises!

Phewww...this week concert is superb! In my opinion, most of the students are doing very well. Lots of improvement as Adlin said but sadly, 2 students from Sabah have been voted out! I was so suprised because Zizie's performance is the best tonight. Yeah, no matter how good she is, it's all depends on the votes.

I was so disappointed because no Sabahan will be in the Top 3 this year. Since AF2, all the Sabahan such as Felix, Marsha, Ebi, Candy and Lotter are in the Top 5. Even Stacy of AF6 won the competition last year! Well, both Zizie and Rubisa have potential in this industry. However, I think the main reason why people don't vote for them is because of their behaviours! Hey, this is just my opinion.

Honestly, I didn't vote for anybody at all this year. Why? I think this year AF7 is not happening compare to the previous years. Actually, the AF team are doing their best to show the transformation that they are talking about. I guess the problem is with the students. Some of them are over confident, especially those who have experience singing in public. However, I'm proud of Isma because eventhough she's married with 5 kids, she's still superb! Same goes to Hafiz for the great performance every week!

Well, no matter what, I'll keep on supporting AF but how I wish if Aznil can come back to host the reality programme! He's versatile, confident and lots of humor compare to AC Mizal. Of course AC need to host the programme in his own style, but it's not happening! Sometimes I realised, ntah apa-apa yang dicakap..main hentam saja dan tidak lucu!

It's 12.32 after midnight. I'm so sleepy. I better go to sleep now. Otherwise, I won't be able to attend the Palm Sunday tomorrow. Good nite my friends ZZZzzz
