Quick Updates

Phew...finally, I managed to log in to my blog. I don't know what's wrong with the log in system few days ago. Anyway, just a quick update on what happened in few months back.

Lots of sickness matters on March. Therefore, kids and I just stayed at home during the whole school holidays. Randy got measles and he's not allowed to go out as recommended by doctor. End of March and first week of April, we are all busy with the Lent Season.

In the middle of April, I went to Pusat Kraftangan Sabah in Keningau with my mom and kids. We saw a huge Barait and Gambus there. We took some photos before proceed to the canteen for breakfast.

Anyway, I just came back from outing with my mom and kids. We had dimsum for breakfast this morning. I love dimsum!

Then we went for another JJCM (Jalan-jalan cuci mata). The weather is too hot lately and we dropped by another cafe, just to have some drinks. Oh my, can't stand the hot weather!

1st May 2012

Today is the 7th death anniversary of my BFF, late Marie Assunta Peter. 7 years has passed, but you'll always have a special place in my heart. I really missed our moments together.

Anyway, I'm still in shocked when a friend of mine told me about the death of his husband this morning. I'm not really sure what happened, but they told me he's involved in an accident. Oh my, coincidentally it happened today. On the same day of his late wife death anniversary.

Condolence to the family of late John Pama. He's a very good person and he helped us a lot before. May your soul RIP.

:)

Hi friends and readers. How's life going on? It's almost two months since I last updated my blog. Oh my, sorry about that. I seldom online lately, busy with my own activities. Guess I need to buy my own laptop, so easy for me to update everything, rather than wait for my turn to use it at home. That's why I prefer using my mobile just to quick view on my Twitter and Facebook.

I'll try my best to find a suitable time to update everything ya. Lots of things to be shared for the past almost two months. Anyway, I found this on Twitter just now. I want to share this photo with you all. Till then, take care and it's still the third Sunday of Easter. Happy Easter everyone!

Happy 8th Birthday Randall!

Today (24th February, 2012) is our beloved eldest son, Randall's birthday. Oh my, he's turning to 8 years old. Time past so quickly and he's getting taller nowadays. I'm pretty sure he'll be taller than me when he's in secondary school :P

I woke up this morning and saw this on white board. Hubby went to school early in the morning but I saw him gave a birthday kiss for Randall.

However, seems we are still on Lent season and abstinence for today, we decided to celebrate his birthday tomorrow. Just a simple celebration among our family members.

Randall, you are a gift from heaven. Daddy, mommy and lil bro, Randy will always love you. Lots of hugs and kisses from us...muahhhhh!

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Season of Lent for all Roman Catholics. Not only abstinence from meat today, but also on every Friday until Good Friday.

The most important thing is doing less activities on this lent season, especially on entertainment such as watching tv, internet use, etc and focus more on religious activities. I'm hoping to be a better person with positive attitudes with God's guidance.

Have a blessed fasting month ya :)

Happy V-Day!

I know...happy belated Valentine's day! Better late than never, huh? Actually, I just recovered from a fever, the worst fever ever! I even lost 2 kgs! I can feel that my body is lighter than before as I can't eat at all. I vomit all the time, maybe because of my sore throat too :(

Anyway, I went out with my mom on V-day afternoon. I accompany her to a bank then we had our brunch together at one of the Chinese restaurant. We both love dim sum!

Later that night, my hubby and I decided to have V-day dinner together with my kids at my parents' house seems only my mom and my youngest brother are there. We took away chicken satay and BBQ chicken wings.

When we arrived at my parents' house, my mom did cook veggie for our dinner too. It's very simple but I'm so happy to celebrate it with my family. Unfortunately, I forgot to take the photos...starving la :D

Oh well, we have to cancel our trip back to my hometown and even to KK. Sorry kids, hopefully on March ya. Got another 9 days of school holidays!

Anyway, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all my Chinese friends and readers a very happy Chinese New Year. Don't eat too much of Mandarin oranges ya! You may get cough easily :P

The Year Of The Dragon, 2012

01/23/2012 - 02/09/2013 (Water)

According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of 2012 is the Year of the Dragon, which begins on January 23, 2012 and ends on February 9, 2013. The Dragon is the fifth sign of the Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 Animal signs. The Dragon is a creature of myth and legend. In ancient China, the celestial Dragon represents an emperor and power. Today, it is the ultimate auspicious symbol signifying success and happiness. May the celestial Dragon bring great good luck to everyone.

In Sung Dynasty (a Chinese imperial dynasty lasting from AD 960 - 1279) texts, the dragon is described as having the head of an ox, muzzle of a donkey, eyes of a shrimp, horns of a deer, body of a serpent covered with fish scales, and feet of a phoenix. The dragon usually clutches a pearl symbolic of its super-natural powers. Invariably accompanied by thunder and rain, dragons move like lightning and whirlwinds - - all powerful yet totally unpredictable.

The Sign of the Dragon

People born in the Year of the Dragon share certain characteristics: Innovative, enterprising, self-assured, brave, passionate, conceited, and quick-tempered. The Dragons are the free spirits of the Chinese Zodiac. Restrictions blow out their creative spark that is ready to flame into life. So, they must be free and uninhibited. The Dragon is a beautiful creature, colorful and flamboyant. An extroverted bundle of energy, gifted and irrepressible, everything Dragons do is on a grand scale - big ideas and extreme ambitions. However, this behavior is natural and isn't meant for show. Because they are confident, fearless in the face of challenge, they are almost inevitably successful.

People born in the Year of the Dragon usually make it to the top. But, they must be aware of that too much enthusiasm can leave them tired and unfulfilled. They find pleasure in helping others, and you can always count on their help. Even though they are willing to assist when necessary, their pride can often impede them from accepting the same kind of help from others. Their generous personalities give them the ability to attract friends, but they can be rather solitary people at heart. Their self-sufficiency can mean that they have no need for close bonds with other people.

Dragon people tend to take thrilling risks, and burn the candle at both ends so they are fortunate to be blessed with good health. However, they can suffer bad health as a result of excess stress. Symtoms of their personalities often stem from emotional outbursts and can range from tension headaches to depression to hypertension. They can remedy these problems by maintaining their cool, implementing a routine in their daily lives, and practice meditation, Tai Chi or Yoga that soothe the mind and spirit as well as tone the body.

The Dragon is not the most domesticated of the Animal signs. So, people born in the Year of the Dragon prefer enjoying outdoor activities rather than staying at home. They are extroverts who have a deep love for nature. Their homes should be as large and majestic as their personalities, providing space for the fiery temperament or emotional eruptions that accompany their character. They have true and sincere love, which comes from the depths of their hearts.

Dragon people are quite imaginative, always able to see new paths and will take a radical approach. They have innate explorative spirit and try to succeed at one stroke. They are very adaptable and are fit for various occupations, especially if those occupations allow them to take the limelight. They work hard, but would rather give orders than receive them. They should avoid jobs that encompass too much routine, and should move toward jobs in which their self-reliance can be an asset.

People born in the Year of the Dragon like to spend money and are charitable themselves as well as with others. Many Dragon people will take big chances with their finances. It is very rare that they remain poor for long. They will always be straightforward in financial dealings and can always be trusted.

Dragon Years: 02/19/1904 to 02/03/1905 (Wood), 02/03/1916 to 01/22/1917 (Fire), 01/23/1928 to 02/09/1929 (Earth), 02/08/1940 to 01/26/1941 (Metal), 01/27/1952 to 02/13/1953 (Water), 02/13/1964 to 02/01/1965 (Wood), 01/31/1976 to 02/17/1977 (Fire), 02/17/1988 to 02/05/1989 (Earth), 02/05/2000 to 01/23/2001 (Metal), 01/23/2012 to 02/09/2013 (Water).

Breaking Dawn (Part 1)

OMG! I'm speechless when I saw the movie for the first time. Twilight Saga will always have a special place in my heart. Hey, am I huge fan of Titanic and Harry Porter series too ok, but Twilight is on my top list ;)

My favorite scene is of course the wedding scene. Bella looks so beautiful in that wedding gown. I really hope Kristen and Robert will get married one day. Not just in the movie, but they look perfect together as a couple. How I wish I was there too!

The honeymoon scene was awesome too. Bella looks very sexy and Edward have to pretend he's not interested! Oh well...poor Edward :P

Anyway, I got all the novels and dvd already, but need to add more of my Twilight Saga collections, such as shirts, mug, etc. If I'm not mistaken, there's a Twilight store in Singapore. Wish I can go there one day and buy all the merchandises. Know what? I used to be a huge fan of NKOTB and I got lots of their merchandises, but I kept it at my hometown. Hey, that was more than 10 years ago! Now I'm starting it again, just because of Twilight Saga :)

Another few months to go before the premier of Breaking Dawn Part 2! I just can't wait!

Here & There

Hi readers! I just want to share some of the photos that I took last year, but forgot to post in my blog due to my laziness...ha...ha...The first part is all about foods :)

As you know, I am food lover. I did try the latest pizza, Ultimate Cheesy Bite and I like it. I can't finish it by myself, so I took away and kept in the fridge. The next day I ate it again just like that and the taste is still yummy!

Nasi Ayam (Chicken Rice) is one of my favorite food. My mom brought me and my sister for lunch somewhere in November, 2011 at her favorite cafe in town. I loveeeee it except the one in the middle. Its good but too spicy for me :D

Anyway, I went for breakfast with hubby and kids at Daily Restaurant and I tried the new menu, Mee Sua Lihing (Seafood). OMG! I like it too and it reminds me of my late grandma. She used to cook it for my mom before when I was still a kid!

Oh well, talking about the king of fruit...DURIAN! Actually, I'm not really into durian. I do eat durian but seems my hubby and kids really hate the smell of durian (LOL), therefore I seldom buy and eat it at home. By the way, thanks to my mom. She bought it for me.

The funny thing about durian is, after eating, no matter how many times you brush your teeth, people can still smell the durian. Even when you fart! Ha...ha...same goes to 'Petai', but I never taste petai. I don't think I can eat it, but petai is good for health!

Okay, here are some of my favorite items. I bought a new sandal for only RM32.90. Quite cheap but very comfortable. I also bought Angry Birds t-shirts for only RM10.90 each but I just wore it twice because I prefer wearing a v-neck instead of round neck shirts.

Got additional t-shirts for my Rev Collections.
