Butterfly Tattoo

I love butterfly tattoo, but I don't have the courage to make it because I'm afraid of the needle and I can't imagine the pain..OMG! However, most of my friends told me that the pain is like 'kena gigit semut'? Is it true? Anyway, the above pic is my favourite butterfly tattoo, what do you think?

Some of you might be asking why butterfly tattoo? People always think negative about a person who have butterfly tattoo. That person will be labelled as a bad person, more to like a prostitude! You know what I mean right? Well, I don't care about their opinion because to me, butterfly is a SYMBOL OF TRANSFORMATION OF CHANGE, LOVE AND JOY!
I really hope I'll have the courage one day to make it, at least before I die..

Happy Lent Season!

Hi friends, how's your Lent so far? Mine is not good..I don't know what's wrong with me, but I can't control my temper! I guess maybe it's because my 'Bendera Jipun' will be coming soon. Normal for a woman to act like that two or one week before the 'Bendera Jipun' dtg menyerang..lol
However, it's not an excuse, so please pray for me to act as good as possible especially on this Lent season. By the way, I'd like to share something about the Lent season. Take time to read and understand it.

Of Lent and Life

Dear Spirit and Life Readers,

The Scriptures and our Church both tell us that Lent is not a season for timid creatures. If in Lent we were to simply jump through the hoops of fasting and abstinence on the days prescribed, we would be rightly accused of a sort of spiritual minimalism. But God is not served by minimalists - He wants tested saints of faith to be channels of His Life to the world! That is what Lent calls us to be.

How will we embrace God's Life so deeply this season? The answer is simple. By first jettisoning the baggage we have accumulated in our lives over the past year. I am talking here about interior personal baggage that we have picked up at the cheap convenience stores of human frailty and about which we let ourselves off the hook continuously: pettiness, every sort of self-indulgence, backbiting, selfish attitudes, worldliness, gossip and the like. Withdrawing permission for anti-Christian behaviors at the core of our beings and ridding ourselves of these faults and imperfections is the first order of business for Lent. It is the basic Gospel call to conversion of heart, and there is no growth in the spiritual life if we do not repent of the things that keep us far away from God. Will we accept the challenge of removing the blockages to God's grace this Lent?

If so, this interior purification is just the first step to embracing His Life. The Church gives us three more: prayer, fasting and almsgiving. They seem so commonplace, yet these practices can create a consuming fire within us, transforming us into spiritually strong men and women of Christ. These practices are not spiritual drudgery; they are spiritual life! We don't put on our calendars that we have to "embrace life today"! We only have to live life each day, and in the same way, Lent asks us to consciously live those things which are channels of spiritual life for us.

Make prayer a passion, not a duty. Ask God for the grace to understand the true nature of prayer which is the very soul of our spiritual lives. If we don't pray, we suffocate spiritually. We wouldn't allow that to happen to our physical bodies, yet through negligence and any number of excuses we drop prayer off our list of priorities and end up spiritually suffocating our souls. There is no time like the present to commit ourselves to a strong prayer life. The interior benefits are truly life-giving.

Fasting makes us spiritual men and women in a way that few other practices can because fasting is a voluntary renunciation of desires of the flesh. No truly spiritual person can live without this practice. So here is a simple Lenten challenge - skip a meal. I guarantee that you will not die! Quite the contrary - you will find yourself filled with divine light in the depth of your being and a vibrancy of life like you have never felt before. Really try it.

Finally, make sure you go above and beyond the call of duty to help your neighbor. Almsgiving, namely, the voluntary deprivation of personal resources for the sake of another, is inconvenient, and sometimes radically so. No matter. Do it anyway and trust God to send it back to you many-fold. When even the smallest deeds of kindness and generosity are done with a completely childlike heart that expects nothing in return, the actual return is a full measure of God's grace and blessing. I would rather have that than all the money in the world.Be faithful to Lent. It is a deep training program in life, divine Life that is. Let's not lose the opportunity to become deeply spiritual men and women this Lent, and God will then make us a channel of His Life to others.

Sincerely,

WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS DECO' IN 1BORNEO

Ho..ho..ho..Merry Christmas 2008. My family and I really have an enjoyable xmas this year! We spent 3D/2N stay in KK last 22nd-24th Dec 2008.

The best thing is to see the Xmas deco' in 1Borneo. It's really amazing and we can really feel the Xmas spirit there. I can't believe my eyes and I keep on looking up and down! Our main purpose is to do the last minute Xmas shopping. However, we didn't buy anything at all but I don't care as we still can do that on the next day.

I can't wait to go to 1Borneo again. Next time, I want to see their Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day or even Hari Raya decorations. To my hubby, thanks for the wonderful Xmas trip dear.

MY BEST PENPAL

The above picture is my best penpal ever, Olivia Tiffany Paul or known as Ollie. She was born on 19 February, 1977 in Kota Kinabalu. We have known each other since 1992 through Blue Network (Sabah's local radio station). We always dedicate songs to each other but I was known as Rowinnie Alex at that time.

Both of us like the same DJ, she's June Lai. (I wonder where is DJ June Lai right now, miss her voice so much!). I really love Blue Network coz I have lots of friends from there such as Olivia Bewsher, Debbie Deborah Kating, Sheilly Suibol, Fedelia, Deasy Legada, Kriscy Lim Joon, Edith Kia, Imelda Michael, just to name a few..even Ollie's twins sisters, Estella and Francisca, also Sabrina.

I'm so glad that Ollie and I are still keep in touch. We will sms each other when we have free time or just say hi through Friendster or Facebook.

I still remember when I was studying in Uitm Sabah, she did come to visit me. She never forget to wish me on my birthday. The best memories we have together is when we meet each other for the first time. I stayed at her house for a night and have a chance to meet all her family members and even sleep in her bedroom! We also go to RTM Sabah later that evening..Ampal is also there at that time..ha..ha..

Believe it or not, the unique thing about our friendship is the way we write letter to each other. We will use an exercise book (Imagine that, huh?) which might take at least a week to finish writing it. However, I really enjoy it coz whenever I feel boring, I will read it over and over..like a storybook huh? Unfortunately, all the books are in Lahad Datu. If not, I will scan it and show it to you all.

To Ollie, I just want to thank you for the friendship. I really appreciate it and I am so glad that we are friends. God bless you always and your lovely family too.

THE MEANING OF FRIENDSHIP

Friends Myspace Comments

I do agree with the above meaning of friendship. We have lots of friends but can we really consider them as our REAL BEST FRIEND? Someone who we can talk to anytime we have a problem? Someone who really care about us? Someone who we can really trust? I'm saying this because nowadays, it's really hard to find someone like that. I know that nobody is perfect! That's why we need to look for the right person.

I just want to share about my feelings towards my ex-schoolmate, ex-church member, ex-colleague who became my VERY GOOD LISTENER @ BEST FRIEND, Late Marie Assunta Peter. I've known her for a long time but we became close when we work together in Borneo Nature Tours S/B, Lahad Datu.

There's something special about her. She's not perfect of course but she's always be there whenever I need her. What I really like about her is SHE'S A GOOD LISTENER! When you share your problems with someone, don't expect her to settle your problems. The important thing is to be a good listener. I'm so glad each time after I share my problems with her. At least, I have someone to talk to anytime, yeah ANYTIME! But too bad, now she's gone and I miss her so much.

I do have many other friends but nobody can replace her. Know what I really miss about her? Her lovely smile every morning she came into the office. Whenever we have free time, we always talk about our own family, our kids and sometimes gossiping about others..ha..ha..While waiting for our hubby to fetch us, we will sitting in the dark, watching scary movies in the office or just sitting and talk, talk, talk.

Believe it or not, after her death, I'm still working in the office until late in the evening while waiting for my hubby to fetch me. Sometimes I feel scared but most of the times I feel so lonely without her. I might be crazy but sometimes I will talk to her and pretending like she's sitting in front of me.

I'm not the only one who miss her coz I know, she's very kind to everybody. Eventhough she's not here with me anymore but she's always on my mind. Thanks for the friendship, Late Marie Assunta Peter.
