3D/2N Trip To KK ~ Day 3

On our last day in KK (23/12/11), we had our breakfast at the Roof Top Restaurant, Imperial Hotel. The breakfast time is between 6.00-10.30am. We went there at 9.30am but most of the food is finished. The staff should double check and refill it or maybe they don't have enough staff since it's holiday. However, the food is yummy!

Mine :)

After breakfast, we went for last minute shopping in Warisan Square. While waiting for the Big Apple Donuts (BAD) outlet to be opened, hubby brought me to Padini Store, just next to BAD. Wow! Sales! Sales! Sales! Hubby bought few items for me (Will update more about it in my next updates ya :)

They really like the Blue Santa Claus

Big Apple Donuts

Bought Famous Amos too

We checked out from the hotel around 12.15pm then stopped by at my brother in law's house in Penampang. Sayonara KK, see you again next year!

On our way back to Keningau, we also stopped by at Gunung Alab restaurant for our late lunch. My kids saw a huge cage with lots of animals inside.

Bats

Rabbit

You can see bats, squirrel, rabbit, etc animals in those cage. However, I guess it's better if the owner release all the animals. I met a group of tourist on that day and they are so excited to see those bats!

We continued our journey and arrived safely in Keningau around 5pm. Thanks God for the safe trip and thanks to my wonderful hubby too. Kids and I really had fun. Okay readers, I have to stop blogging now. Will update more about my Christmas 2011 later.

3D/2N Trip to KK ~ Day 2 (Part 2)

Thanks for keep on reading ya...On that night of 22/12/11, hubby brought us to Perdana Park to see the musical fountain. It was raining, but we still enjoyed our moments there.

Lovely Christmas deco @ the entrance

Raining & very cold

After that, hubby suggested to watch a movie at Suria Sabah. Unfortunately, our car's brake isn't functioning very well. So, we decided just to go shopping at Centre Point KK, which is a walking distance from our hotel. We had our dinner at McDonald. I had Beef Prosperity Burger. I like it but quite spicy for me.

What a surprised! I met my friend cum my ex colleague, Laura. We still keep in touch through Facebook, but we haven't meet each other since 2003 I guess.

We went back to hotel around 10 pm and ZZZzzz

3D/2N Trip To KK ~ Day 2 (Part 1)

The next morning (22/12/11), we had our breakfast at The Square of Novotel. I prefer this hotel than any other hotel in 1Borneo area because variety of food selection for breakfast. Buffet style but lots of yummy thingy!

My heavy breakfast :P

After breakfast, we checked out from the hotel and went for city tour. We visited Sabah Museum. It was my second visit since 1991! What a long time, huh? Our kids are very excited because it was their first visit. Unfortunately we are not allowed to take photos inside the museum.

By the way, we saw an artist outside the museum. We asked him to sketch a photo for our kids but until our visit end, he haven't done yet! We are so disappointed. He said too many photos to sketch, but why he approached us in the first place?

Anyway, here are some of our photos outside the museum.

After that, we checked in to Imperial Hotel and then had our lunch at Food Court, Centre Point. Hubby accompanied our kids to play games and I went back to hotel to get some rest. I'll meet my another friend, later that evening.

Met my friend, Debbie at Starbucks Warisan Square. Our last met was in 1st Jan, 2011.

On the way to KK (21/12/11), we stopped by at Kipandi Butterfly Park. It was located on Tambunan-Penampang Road. The fees are RM10 per adult and no charge for my kids.

Thursday, December 30, 2010

Phewww...it's been a month since I updated my blog. I'm just so lazy, don't have any idea what to type..he..he..oh well, I have to because at least I have something to read one day when I'm old enough and can't do anything!

Well, we went to Labuan on the 23rd Nov till 25th Nov, 2010 (3D/2N). It was the first trip for me and my kids and second trip for my hubby. He went there before in 2000, during their school's choir competition.

Anyway, the journey took about 4 hours from Keningau-Menumbok. To me, it's quite bored because there's nothing to see along the road from Beaufort-Menumbok. We are so tired and when we arrived at Menumbok, we tried to change our ferry ticket to earlier schedule, that is 10.00 am instead of 12.00 noon. Unfortunately, it was fully booked and we have to wait for 2 hours at the ferry terminal. While waiting, we went to the Menumbok's monument to take some photos. It was amazing with lots of marine life huge replica such as crab, turtle, fish, etc.

Finally, we are on the ferry, but it was the small one. So, we need to park our car in the middle of the ferry and we went upstair to have some rest. Gosh, the weather is too hot but luckily none of us have seasick!

We arrived in Labuan safely around 2.00 pm and straight away looking for a hotel. My friend recommend me a few hotels but we decided to stay in a budget hotel, Mariner Hotel. It's not bad and quite comfortable for us.

We are very tired to have lunch, so we just ate some snacks and went to sleep. We woke up around 7.00 pm. Later we went out for dinner. Well, I recommend you to go to this restaurant when you are in Labuan. We have our dinner at the same restaurant for both nights. The foods are delicious with lots of varieties from local to western.

On the second day, after breakfast, we went to visit few interesting places in Labuan. I'm so happy to see my kids really enjoyed this trip. They don't even complain about their tiredness. Our last visit is to War Memorial then we went for lunch and back to the hotel. Sampai hotel, semua kepenatan dan terus tertidur!

We woke up around 6.00pm, dinner at the same restaurant and then chocolate shopping! He..he..I think the imported chocolate is more yummy and my favourite is Dairy Milk Marble.

After breakfast on our last day, we just walked on foot to the nearby shop. Just to 'cuci-cuci mata' until our check out time. We went to the ferry terminal at 13.00 pm. We are so lucky this time because it was a huge ferry and we can sit inside, with air conditioned room and there's even a tv for karaoke/movie.

Sayonara Labuan! Sure we will come again and thanks to my hubby for the nice trip. (For more pictures, you can add me at Facebook and view it on my Trip to Labuan Island Album).
